At 19, our founder Helen discovered a passion for skincare and travelled from the country to Perth every weekend for two years to earn her beauty diploma. She opened a small salon at the back of her home while raising two young boys — and never stopped learning.
When she heard that beauty salons were opening inside shopping centres in America, she knew beauty didn’t belong behind closed doors — it should be available to everyone. That vision became Skindeep, one of Perth’s first shopping-centre beauty salons, recognised within twelve months as one of Australia’s leading salons.
Today, four decades on, Skindeep is therapist-owned and still guided by the same belief: great therapists aren’t born, they’re nurtured.
Every decision we make has to pass one test. If it doesn’t benefit all three, we don’t do it.

Many of our therapists started as apprentices straight out of school and are still part of the Skindeep family years later. We don’t simply hire experienced therapists — we develop them.

Above-award wages, fortnightly performance incentives and a sign-on bonus after 12 months.

Full-time, part-time or a four-day week, with alternating Saturdays.

No Sundays, no public holidays, and we close at 3pm on Saturdays.
