Epi Blading

Epi-Blading – also known as Dermaplaning – is the perfect answer to the end of the “Peach Fuzz”  plus  a gentle method of deeply exfoliating the skin. A surgical blade is worked over the face on a 45 degree angle removing the outer layers of dead skin cells as well as any fine hair (great for blonde hair that cannot be treated with laser) leaving the skin immediately smooth, fuzz free and rejuvenated. Epiblaidng  can be done as a stand-alone treatment, or combined with Microdermabrasion or a chemical peel. There is no down time associated with Epiblading and is the perfect treatment pre Peels to assist with better penetration of the Peel and other products after. A concern is about what will happen to the fine hair after Epi Blading – We can guarantee that the fine hair removed during the treatment will not be stimulated or grow back coarse.  Results can be seen after every treatment but we would recommend regular 3 – 4 weekly treatments for a long lasting result.

Post Treatment Care

Your Therapist will recommend a Physical Sun protection to be worn everyday after your treatment as you should anyway but we also would recommend avoiding sun exposure for 7 – 10 days post treatment. Waxing and hair removal procedures should be avoided for 7-14 days post procedure. Facial treatments are not advised for a minimum of 14 days post procedure. No strenuous activity is to be undertaken for 24 hours post procedure. This also includes Bikram yoga and the use of steam rooms and saunas. Exfoliating products are not to be used for 3 -5 days or as advised by your Therapist . If you develop any scabbing on the treated area do not pick the skin. Contact your Therapist and she will advise you on the correct protocol. Correct product use post procedure is very important to avoid further compromising the skin. This will be discussed with your Therapist during your consultation and the most appropriate ingredients and products will be recommended.
