9 tips you can start right now to keep your skin looking younger
#1 Vitamin A
This is the single most effective ingredient to help maintain your skins youth. This ingredient keeps your skin cells turning over (which normally slows down as you age) keeping your skin plump and smooth. My go-to product is the Aspect Dr Exfol A Plus Serum.
#2 Drink plenty of water!
Everyone’s says it, but more than likely not many people do it.
Our bodies are made up of more than 80% water, so think about plumping your skin from the inside out. Dry skin shows more wrinkles and causes the skin to sag faster than it normally would. If you find it hard to guzzle eight glasses a day, start slow and work your way up. Even one extra glass than what you normally drink, will go a long way to hydrating your body and skin.
#3 Wear sunscreen
Apply it like its a part time job! Sunscreen is the perfect way to stop the rays breaking down your precious collagen, it also prevents brown pigment spots and cancer! The True Solutions range has some great SPF moisturisers – you can choose a tinted, non tinted or age protecter.
#4 Combat eyes
Eyes are the first area to show signs of ageing. With your eyes, it’s better to be proactive, rather than reactive, so I would recommend investing in an eye cream in your early twenties. Your eyes, unlike the rest of your skin, don’t have sebaceous or ‘oil’ glands, so the only way to keep them plump is by manually adding in the moisture. I would recommend an eye cream with AHA’s or Vitamin A, like the Priori Idebenone Eye Serum for best results.
#5 Throw away your face wipes
These have mainly alcohol as there base ingredient. Stripping away your skins natural moisturising factor causing skin sensitivity. It’s just not worth it to save a few minutes at the basin.
Solution? Invest in a good cleanser – a good quality cream cleanser will moisturise and condition all at the same time, and carry less risk of irritation.

#7 A good moisturiser
This is a good tip for all of the nicotine lovers out there – moisturiser protects the ‘ barrier’ of your skin (but we would always recommend quitting for ultimate skin repair). Meaning the stronger your ‘barrier’ is, the less harmful substances penetrate into your skin through its pores. Apply regularly throughout the day, especially if you are a smoker, this helps to stop the damaging chemicals absorbing in to your skin.
#8 Put on a couple of kilograms
It’s actually good to put on a few kilograms once we enter our 30’s. As we age, our muscle separates from the bone causing that awful ‘sag’ on our cheeks. Eat good fats like avocado and fresh nuts to help plump up your skin.
